BN Manifesto for GE14 will be implemented - Ahmad Zahid
KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 (Bernama) -- The Barisan Nasional (BN) manifesto for the 14th General Election (GE14) will definitely be implemented, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
This, he said, was based on BN's record of successfully implementing 99.4 per cent of the pledges made in the manifesto for the 13th General Election (GE13).
"I hope this manifesto that offers pledges covering all levels of society will be well received.
"We see the success of the previous manifesto, and this shows that this commitment (GE14 pledges) will definitely be translated (into reality)," he told reporters after the launch of the manifesto at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil here tonight.
He also said that this time the manifesto not only covers all walks of life, but also progress for every area, from the city to the countryside was also emphasised.
Ahmad Zahid, who was involved in chairing the production of the document, said the manifesto was also the most comprehensive ever produced.
Even though I was involved in the preparation of the manifestos for GE12 and GE13, this manifesto is very comprehensive and I think this is an offer that should not be rejected by the people, he said.
Ahmad Zahid said the 220-page BN manifesto, has 364 initiatives under 14 thrusts, covering all walks of life.
Commenting on the initiative for women, he said it was an acknowledgement to the women in the country and the government's commitment to continue empowering them.
