BN Manifesto, complete document for all levels of society - BN component leaders

KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 (Bernama) -- The Barisan Nasional (BN) manifesto for the 14th General Election (GE14) is a comprehensive document that has taken into account the different needs of every segment of society in the country, said the component party leaders.
They were of the opinion that the manifesto, themed ?With BN for A Greater Malaysia' is seen to be empowering the nation's development for the benefit of each party to ensure prosperity and continuous harmony.
Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party president Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing said that specific pledges for each state were something that had never been done before and proved that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was concerned with the different needs of each state.
"It is a very good manifesto, as he (Najib) understands what the people needs," he said.
Gerakan president Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong described the manifesto as holistic, realistic and focused as it showed BN's openness to the people, with reasonable and responsible pledges.
"To ensure that no Malaysians, especially those of the B40 and M40 groups, will not be left behind in our quest to pursue the developed nation status, this manifesto is formulated differently from the previous BN manifesto," he said.
Meanwhile, MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai believed that the manifesto provided high commitment to people with a lot of 'wow factors' and he was confident that the people would receive over 300 pledges in a massive 220-page manifesto that took care of all aspects of the country's need.
Elsewhere, MIC president Datuk Seri S. Subramaniam described the manifesto as being in line with the people's expectation in ensuring that no group would be left out of the development.
"The announcement of certain projects from Perlis to Sabah is in line with the people's expectation to prove that no territory is marginalised in the flow of national development.
"The increase of BR1M allocation at all levels including the new ones will be well received, thereby enhancing the people's confidence in BN," he said.
Sabah Chief Minister, who is also the state BN Liaison chairman, Datuk Seri Musa Aman said the manifesto was the best and comprehensive by taking into account the people's pulse, including giving particular attention to the interests of the Sabahans and Sarawakians, as well as being more realistic in ensuring the success of national development in the next phase.
"Indeed, the rights of the Sabahans in the Malaysian Agreement of 1963, have always been given a high priority by the leadership of the country, especially the prime minister himself, before the manifesto was launched.
"We approach this issue through the negotiations and discussions between the state government and the federal government which has yielded great result and success to us," he said.
Meanwhile, Wanita UMNO chief Tan Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil said the manifesto was seen to be able to elevate and strengthen the role of women in the national development.
"I, on behalf of the women across the country want to say thank you for putting women in a very high position. The well-being, happiness and future success of women listed as one of the main pledges in the manifesto," she said.
Meanwhile, Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim said the decision to place women agenda as the main preamble for the BN manifesto this time was a major recognition for the group.
"Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib who started the women's agenda, put the group as a top priority and this is a great honour,? she said.
Meanwhile, MyPPP president Tan Sri M. Kayveas said the manifesto offered by the BN was a realistic agenda and could be implemented and it was not an empty idea, unlike the ones pledged by certain parties.
