BN Manifesto gives importance to people, country - Najib

KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 (Bernama) -- The Barisan Nasional manifesto for the 14th General Election is designed more in the interest of the welfare of the people and the country than to fish for votes in the election, said Prime Minister and BN chairman Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
He said the manifesto was not designed to hand out candy, raise false hopes or make populist promises.
"On the other hand, the Barisan Nasional has always put the welfare of the people first and the nation's interest at the forefront," said Najib in his latest post on his blog tonight.
Najib said everything on the list of pledges was achievable and feasible and that he would ensure that the nation continues to develop, progress and succeed.
He said the manifesto covers every corner of the country, from Perlis to Johor, Sabah and Sarawak and no areas were left out.
"No one in society, irrespective of religion, race, education status or background, will be overlooked," he said.
He said the manifesto would not only ensure the continuity of all Malaysia's achievements but also make the country greater and more successful.
