BN Manifesto: rural population to enjoy economic gain

KUALA LUMPUR, April 8 (Bernama) --The Barisan Nasional (BN) manifesto which offers various initiatives and encompasses people of all age groups will generate income and fair economic distribution, especially in rural areas.
MIC Youth chief Datuk Sivaarajh Chandran said small towns would be further developed with the addition of highways and the enhancement of the transport system around the city.
"It will enable more people to do business and create job opportunities that will boost the people's economy in the area," he said in a statement here today.
Last night, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who is also the BN chairman, launched the party's manifesto at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil with 14 thrusts and 364 initiatives in efforts to empower the country.
Sivaarajh said with about three million new jobs opportunities being created in various sectors, it would directly benefit job seekers, especially young people.
"We are also grateful to BN for continued commitment to strengthen the multi-stream education system in National Type Tamil Schools (SJKTs) and National Type Chinese Schools and this is included in the manifesto," he said.
