BN manifesto an added-value, not mere promises





PUTRAJAYA, April 9 (Bernama) -- The Barisan Nasional manifesto for the 14th General Election (GE14) is an added value to BN's record and performance as the incumbent, compared to the manifesto by Pakatan Harapan which is just promises, said Chief Executive Officer of the National Professors Council (MPN) Prof Datuk Dr Raduan Che Rose.

He said the BN manifesto contained corrective elements, which was to correct several aspects, and preventive elements to avoid negative this that had happened before.

He said the BN manifesto was seen as more responsible and grounded.

"Everything mentioned in the BN manifesto can be gauged, whether it can be achieved or otherwise, and not promising the moon and the stars'," he said in a press conference on the GE14 manifesto here today.

On the pledge involving the1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M), Raduan said it could not be considered 'election candy' because the aid could be enjoyed by everybody eligible, regardless of their political affiliation, aand not just for BN supporters.

"The BN manifesto which can be enjoyed by all the people is a detailed document towards agreed by the 13 component parties through understanding and cooperation which has long been practised," he said.

During the launch of the GE14 BN manifesto, with the theme 'With BN For A Greater Malaysia' , Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who is also BN chairman, also announced bigger pay-outs to BR1M recipients and an additional category of recipient.
