BESUT, April 9 (Bernama) -- A total of 140,000 members of the Malaysian Ex-Policemen's Association (PBPM) are ready to help campaign for the Barisan Nasional (BN) in the coming 14th General Election (GE14).

Its president, Hussin Awang Ngah, said former policemen would go all-out to ensure a BN victory.

"We have enough members in every state to help the BN to continue to rule our beloved country," he told reporters after handing over free spectacles to more than 1,600 recipients from Besut at the Hadhari Jertih Mosque here today.

Meanwhile, Hussin said as of last month, the PBPM had distributed over 20,000 free spectacles to ex-policemen, civil servants, NGOs and individuals in Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang and Melaka.
