KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has called on all registered voters in the country to plan their time to go to the polls on May 9.
Najib, who is also Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman said voting is the right and responsibility of every citizen of Malaysia.
"Each of your vote will determine the future of the country and the next generation," he said in his latest blog post on NajibRazak.com tonight.
The prime minister also encouraged all voters to read all about the process and what were required of them on the polling day, such as the documents to be brought along and what would happen after the ballots were put in the box.
"To read more about all of these, please visit the UndiNegaraku website which provides details on the preparations before and during the polling day, as well as the frequently asked questions about the general election," he said.
At the same time, he said the public could continue following his blog and study the BN Manifesto launched last Saturday with various initiatives to be implemented, not just to continue the success stories of the country, but also to ensure the future of the nation.
The Election Commission had, earlier today, announced nomination for April 28 and polling for May 9 in 14th General Election. Early voting is on May 5.
