GE14: APM to deploy 14,000 personnel nationwide
KUALA TERENGGANU, April 12 (Bernama) -- A total of 14,000 Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel will be deployed nationwide for the coming 14th General Election (GE14), said its chief commissioner Major Gen Datuk Azmy Yahya.
"Our medical team members will be ready to provide initial emergency treatment to anyone in need. Our security officers will ensure the smooth-running of the election process," he told reporters after visiting a Terengganu APM personnel Mohamad Haiqal Ahmad Tarmizi, who is receiving treatment at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital here today.
Meanwhile, Terengganu APM director Lieutenant Colonel Che Adam A Rahman said a total of 700 personnel would be deployed in the state for GE14.
