N.Sembilan government to launch PPA1M + on April 26

SEREMBAN, April 12 (Bernama) -- The 1Malaysia Civil Servants Housing Scheme + (PPA1M +) project dedicated to civil servants in Negeri Sembilan will be launched on April 26.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said this was the 13th project under the PPA1M and so far, 10,000 units of houses were either undergoing construction or had been completed.

"Affordable houses under this PPA1M + will be built on 18.2 hectares of land in Bandar Baru Seri Sendayan, near the Sendayan Air Base."

"It is a state government-owned land and the houses built under this project will therefore be offered only to state government's staff," he told the media after launching the Negeri Sembilan Edition of Housing Expo here today.

Present were 1Malaysia People's Housing (PR1MA) chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Mutalib Alias, State Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Jalaluddin Alias and State Secretary Datuk Seri Mat Ali Hassan.

Mohamad elaborated that PPA1M + would offer 350 units of single- and double-storey terrace houses.

Apart from Seremban, the PPA1M projects specifically implemented to assist civil servants, especially low and middle income earners to own a house at an affordable price, were also available in Nilai, Port Dickson and Jelebu.

Meanwhile, Abdul Mutalib said the five-day Housing Expo, which began today, offered 21,000 houses, 84 per cent of which were priced below RM300,000.

He said the houses were from eight housing projects implemented in Port Dickson, Seremban Sentral, Rantau, Senawang, Seremban Utara, Pedas and Kuala Pilah.
