GE14: BN machinery to continue working hard despite comfortable win prediction

PUTRAJAYA, April 12 (Bernama) -- The Barisan Nasional (BN) machinery will continue to work hard to ensure a bigger victory in the 14th General Election (GE14) despite the prediction the party can garner a comfortable win , said BN secretary general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.
He said even though the analysis was favourable to the BN, the party's efforts and campaign would proceed as usual, especially in approaching and providing service to the people.
According to Oxford Economics, based on the manifesto that focuses on efforts to address the rising cost of living as pledged by the BN, it expects the party to secure a comfortable victory in GE14 on May 9.
"That's (Oxford Economics) analysis, we still have to work. Cannot be complacent," he told the media after officiating the operation of Precinct 18 Shell Station built on a land owned by Koperasi Profesional Putrajaya Berhad (Koprojaya) here today.
As a party that cared for the people's welfare, Tengku Adnan, who is also Federal Territories Minister, was confident the people would support the BN.
"We have achieved and realised 99.4 per cent of the GE13 Pledges and when Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced the manifesto for GE14, we can see it is a manifesto for all," he said.
On the BN manifesto for the Federal Territories, Tengku Adnan said it would be announced on the same day when the nominated candidates are announced.
The Election Commission (EC) has set the polling day for GE14 on May 9, nomination day on April 28 while early voting is on May 5.
