DAP hell-bent on realising Malaysian Malaysia

PADANG TERAP, April 12 (Bernama) -- Pakatan Harapan, (PH) led by DAP, will use numerous ways to achieve its aim of realising the Malaysian Malaysia Concept it championed all these while.
UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Mahadzir Khalid said that because of this, the DAP was willing to make a big sacrifice by using the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) logo in the 14th General Election (GE14) despite criticisms from some DAP members at the grassroots.
"In order to achieve its Malaysian Malaysia Concept, I see the DAP will use whatever way to enable the Malays to support the idea that DAP brings which is based on a level playing field."
"In fact, we have seen many Malay leaders have been deceived by the DAP which is hell-bent on achieving the idea," he said at the opening of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Lubuk Merbau's Seri Merbau Hall, here today.
He however believed the Malays and Bumiputeras had come to realise the party's drama and would not support the party that would undermine the rights of the Malays and Islam.
In KOTA BHARU, PAS vice-president Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah said DAP had succeeded in using PKR to get Malay votes by using the PKR logo by PH in GE14.
He said although the use of the logo gave PKR an advantage as it was seen as if the other parties had to bow to PKR, on the other hand it would merely profited DAP.
"Actually, PKR is used as a tool by the DAP to win the Malay voters, which means DAP is riding on PKR," he said when met by reporters at an event at Dewan Bunga Teratai, Kota Darul Naim complex here today.
Last Tuesday, DAP organising secretary Anthony Loke Siew Fook was reported as saying that the party had agreed to use the PKR logo in GE14 to win more Malay community votes.
Mohd Amar said that he called on the Malay community not to be deceived by the strategies used by the opposition who only aimed to pull the wool over their eyes.
In MARAN, the decision of PH to use the PKR logo in GE14 was only intended to hoodwink the voters especially from rural areas.
State Women and Family Development, Communications and Multimedia Committee chairman Datuk Seri Shahaniza Shamsuddin said the action was also to attract Malay votes as, DAP, one of the PH components, was not well-received by the Malay community.
"DAP will be rejected by Malay voters in rural and Felda areas, so this time they see the opportunity to use the PKR logo as a way for them to win Malay votes, especially in the interior."
"I hope the voters in rural areas as well as Felda schemes will not be deceived by the tactics that the pact uses as it will ultimately benefit only one party," he said.
Shahaniza, who is also Maran UMNO Division deputy chief, said this to reporters after launching the 2018 Pahang level International Women's Day celebration at Felda Jengka 3 Semai Bakti Hall here today.
She added that the opposition's actions also showed that they could not imitate the way the Barisan Nasional (BN) could reach an understanding on the use of flags and logos despite having many component parties.
On Saturday, PH chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad announced they would use the PKR logo at GE14 on May 9.
