GE14: PAS names candidates for Pokok Sena, Kuala Kedah

ALOR SETAR, April 15 (Bernama) -- Kedah football legend, Muhamad Radhi Mat Din has been nominated as PAS' new face for the Pokok Sena parliamentary seat in the 14th General Election (GE14).
PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang announced the name of the 53-year-old former national footballer at the GE14 'Gelombang Hijau' rally which took place at the party's Alor Ibus division headquarters here Saturday night.
Radhi, also known as 'Captain Marvel', will contest against incumbent Datuk Mahfuz Omar, who is also Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) vice-president.
Mahfuz, who is also former PAS vice-president, left the party on Dec 31 after 34 years with PAS.
Abdul Hadi also announced another new face, Muhamad Riduan Mohd Othman, 43, who is also a pharmacist, as the candidate for the Kuala Kedah parliamentary seat.
He will fight against incumbent Dr Azman Ismail, who is also Kedah PKR chairman.
Meanwhile, Kedah PAS commissioner Dr Ahmad Fakhrudin Sheikh Fakhrurrazi, 47, is slated for the Pengkalan Kundur state seat. He is likely to take on Datuk Pahrolrazi Zawawi from Amanah.
