Penang PAS Youth chief to contest in Permatang Pauh
KEPALA BATAS, April 15 (Bernama) -- Penang PAS Youth chief (DPPNPP) Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden has been announced as PAS candidate for the Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat in the coming 14th general election (GE14).
PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang announced Afnan Hamimi, 37, at a ceramah for the impending GE14 and launch of Penang-level Gagasan Sejahtera at Markaz Tarbiyah PAS in Pongsu Seribu here tonight.
Abdul Hadi said Afnan Hamimi was a young candidate who is the PAS central Youth secretary and was confident of repeating a historic return by recapturing Permatang Pauh which they last won in 1978.
