Be careful about DAP's 'Ala Coloniser's democracy - Johor MB

BATU PAHAT, April 16 (Bernama) --The people of Johor should be aware of the DAP's 'Ala Coloniser's Democracy' tactics in gaining support and votes ahead of the 14th General Election, said Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
He said the among tactics was claiming that they were not interested in becoming top leaders or number one leaders.
"If we see the way the British came, they came and said that they do not even want to become our leaders, and just want to be advisers. But the fact is that British advisors in our country at that time were very powerful and determined all our affairs including the affairs of the Malays and Islam.
"And this is what is being done by DAP today (Ala Colonisers' Democracy). They say they are not interested in taking the political power of the Malays but every day, their focus is to ensure that seats held by the Malays were seized. They are willing to do all this, even though their identity, their logo, their names, had to be changed and mortgaged. To them, that's okay ... what is important is that they win and are in power, " he said.
He was speaking to reporters after officiating the Perbadanan Islam Johore Dialysis Centre and the launch of the Johor Wakaf Fund Entrepreneur Loan Scheme, here, today.
According to Mohamed Khaled, other features of the tactics included witnessing the DAP's presence supposedly as a saviour, clearly showing their practice of dividing the land and the area among all their cronies or allies arbitrarily.
"Is not that all the way British colonisers came to Malaya first? Now look at the way DAP campaign, they will say all states are in terrible condition and they come as saviours. Now it is true that DAP say the seats they are contesting are not many but we need to know that DAP is a majority in a minority, "he said.
Accordingly, the people, he said, must make a careful assessment to avoid being trapped by these tactics.
"I really hope we will not be a victim of this Ala Coloniser Democracy practitioners. And I hope the people will not let any area within our state become the area where dumped politicians come to try their luck," he said.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Khaled said the Barisan Nasional (BN) would be able to maintain its two-thirds majority in the state as well as recapture several seats from the opposition.
