Kelantan BN to launch GE14 manifesto on Thursday

Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed
KOTA BHARU, April 17 (Bernama) -- The Barisan Nasional is to launch on Thursday its Kelantan manifesto for the 14th general election.
Kelantan BN chairman Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said today the manifesto, which had been approved by BN chairman Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, would focus on Islam, women, youths, land and infrastructure facilities.
"We are confident the initiatives will boost the performance of Kelantan," said the Kelantan UMNO Liaison Committee chairman at a press conference at the BN Media Centre here. Also present was Kelantan UMNO deputy chairman Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub and the chairmen of the other component parties of Kelantan BN.
Mustapa said the manifesto would be launched at the Tunjong Rural Transformation Centre before a crowd of about 20,000 people.
He also said that the Kelantan BN candidates for GE14 had been finalised and the list was awaiting the green light from Najib.
Replying to a question, Mustapa said a squad headed by Ahmad Jazlan had been set up to monitor attempts to sabotage the BN in the run-up to polling on May 9.
"The squad will address the issue because any sabotage can influence the votes. Every vote is important for us," he said.
He also said that Kelantan BN would focus on non-Malay voters as well because though they were not in the majority their votes had an impact on the outcome of the election.
Voters staying outside the state were also important and we would ensure that about 20 per cent of those voters who supported us returned to vote.
