Labuan Puteri UMNO focuses on young voters

LABUAN, April 18 (Bernama)-- Labuan Puteri UMNO is focusing on young voters to rally behind Barisan Nasional in the 14th general election.

Its Chief Nur Erney Jamil said going to the ground was one of the effective approaches to tackle young voters and get them to understand the BN government's policy and its track record in taking the country to greater heights.

"I am sure the bigger number of young voters will also help to spur BN's candidate to victory in the election," she told Bernama today.

Erney said the Umno wing would continue to organise people-oriented events.

"We have been proactive in approaching young voters, and the number of Puteri members is over 700 now compared to only about 500 last year. This will strengthen our BN machinery and help our candidate to win handsomely in GE14," she said.

She said the wing would go all out to help the BN candidate throughout the 11-day campaign period.

We will also help counter unfounded allegations, fake news and propaganda on BN created by the opposition to hoodwink the people especially young voters," Erney said.
