RM18 million allocated for housing repairs in Gombak parliamentary - Noh
KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government (KPKT) has allocated RM18 million for repairs and maintenance of housing in the Gombak parliamentary area.
Its minister Tan Sri Noh Omar said the allocation to cover 16 projects for repair works on low and medium cost housing totaling RM14.5 million, was through the 1Malaysia Maintenance Fund (TP1M) programme.
Apart from that he said, the ministry was also building five covered futsal courts in the Gombak Setia state constituency at a total cost of RM2.5 million to allow young people participate in recreation activities.
"We are also giving grants worth RM3.76 million for small projects to be carried out in the local authority (PBT) areas throughout the Gombak parliamentary area. Some of the projects are already completed, others are under construction or have yet to be implemented," he said after launching the Pinggiran Batu Caves Apartment Social Transformation Programme, here today.
Noh added that the painting and roof repair works on 28 apartment blocks at Pinggiran Batu Caves, which cost RM5 million were expected to complete by December.
