Ahmad Razif will contest in GE14, Tengku Asmadi among other BN candidates

KUALA NERUS, April 20 (Bernama) -- Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman today confirmed he will be contesting in the 14th General Election (GE14) and named four other candidates, including motivational expert Dr Tengku Asmadi Tengku Mohamad.
He, however, declined to name where the individuals would be contesting, pending the official announcement.
"As the Kuala Nerus UMNO Division chief, I will announce the candidates for Kuala Nerus, but where I am contesting will not be announced yet. Who's confirmed (to be contesting) is Dr Tengku Asmadi Tengku Mohamad, myself, Datuk Basir Ismail, Tuan Arif Sahibul Fadilah Tuan Ahmad and Che Mansor Salleh. These five people are confirmed to be contesting in state and parliamentary seats," he said after an event for single mothers at the Gong Badak Indoor Stadium here, today.
Ahmad Razif also fulfilled the state Barisan Nasional's (BN) promise of fielding a female candidate in GE14, naming Marang Division Wanita UMNO chief Toh Puan Zaitun Mat Amin.
The Terengganu UMNO liaison chief added that the full list of candidates for 32 state and eight Parliamentary seats would be officially announced by Sunday or Monday.
