MCA has served Chinese community well - Johor MB
JOHOR BAHRU, April 20 (Bernama)-- MCA has served the Chinese community well particularly in the field of education, said Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
He said this why the party was constantly coming under attack by certain quarters who had their own hidden agenda.
He said that because of MCA's help, the Chinese community in Johor saw 25 Chinese schools built in the state.
There are certain parties ridiculing MCA, but it is MCA that has been at the forefront in serving the Chinese community.
"Very unlike the DAP (another Chinese-based party) who previously said PAS (an Islamic party) was everything to them, that they were in love with PAS, PAS was very beautiful but dumped PAS five years later and fell in love with a 93-year-old ex-leader," he said.
Khaled said this when performing the ground-breaking ceremony for Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Ladang Grisek di Eco Tropics, Pusat Perniagaan Eco World here today.
MCA, he said, had stayed true to its friends in the Barisan Nasional and championed not only the wellbeing of the Chinese community but Malaysians overall.
Thus, he urged the community to reward MCA by giving it their full support in the 14th general election on May 9.
