GE14: MCA traded Bdr Tun Razak For Ampang - Liow

BENTONG, April 22 (Bernama) -- MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said for the 14th general election, the party traded the Bandar Tun Razak seat for the Ampang seat with UMNO.
He said the swap was done in the Barisan
Nasional spirit and was a strategic move to retake the two parliamentary seats held by PKR since the 2008 general election.
"Seat swaps are something normal... it is done in the coalition's (BN's) best interests," he told a press conference after opening Galeri Karak here today.
Federal Territories BN in announcing its candidates for GE14 today named UMNO figure Adnan Abdul Seman, a lawyer, as their candidate for Bandar Tun Razak, which is traditionally an MCA seat.
