Azmin Ali to defend Gombak and Bukit Antarabangsa seats

KUALA SELANGOR, April 23 (Bernama) -- Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, who is also PKR deputy president, will be defending his Gombak parliamentary seats and Bukit Antarabangsa state seat in the 14th General Election (GE14).
The PKR´s list of candidates for the GE14 was announced by its president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail at the "Jelajah Harapan Selangor" programme here tonight.
So far, the party has announced its candidates for nine parliamentary seats and 21 state seats.
Among them are former Bersih 2.0 chairman Maria Chin Abdullah, who will contest the Petaling Jaya parliamentary seat (formerly Petaling Jaya Selatan) and former Selangor executive councillor Dr Xavier Jayakumar, who will be contesting the Kuala Langat parliamentary seat.
For state seats, among the names listed as PKR candidates were Dr Idris Ahmad for Ijok, Rodziah Ismail (Batu Tiga) and Dr Daroyah Alwi (Sementa).
Meanwhile, a new face, G.Sivamalar, will contest Bukit Melawati state seat.
