BN candidate pledges to bring better development in Tokai





ALOR SETAR, April 24 (Bernama) -- The Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Tokai state seat Ahmad Fatahi Omar, 53, is determined to bring better development to the area if BN wins the seat come polling day on May 9 in the 14th general election.

Ahmad Fatahi from Kampung Rambai, Tokai said his mission was to serve the constituents and to be aware of the problems and needs of the people who had long been left behind under PAS.

"Even though the Tokai state constituency is a PAS stronghold since long ago, it is possible for the voters to choose BN in this coming general election to guarantee their future based on our service records in the parliamentary and other state seats.

"I will not look back and I will continue to implement various important agendas, especially in agriculture and generate more economic and business opportunities for the people of all races," he told Bernama after the announcement of the Kedah BN candidates for the GE14 at the Seri Mentaloon Hall here today.

At the event, Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah announced the candidates for the 15 parliamentary seats and 36 state seats

Tokai and Sungai Tiang are the two state seats under Pendang parliamentary constituency.

Meanwhile, Datuk Othman Abdul, who has been nominated to defend the Pendang parliamentary seat, said he would make sure that the seat would remain under BN and development would continue in the area for the well-being of the people.
