Don't follow emotions, sentiments, voters told

KUALA LUMPUR, April 24 (Bernama)

Titiwangsa voters must elect their representatives wisely without being influenced by sentiment or emotion in the 14th general election (GE13), said Titiwangsa Member of Parliament, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani.

Johari, who was nominated for the second time to represent Barisan Nasional (BN), said the people should be wise at evaluating leaders in their respective areas who were really serving them without any obstacles and not those who only get down on the field once every five years.

"Do not believe in information through WhatsApp or social media. The people must see in their areas which leaders offer services whether the issue involves single mothers, mosques or surau and who (elected representatives) you can find at the office, telephone, through officers and others. at any time.

"We want them to see through the work and efforts made by the elected representative through his track record over the past five years and do not follow emotion as it will affect the future, so think well," he said.

He was speaking to reporters after opening a casual gathering of the Titiwangsa Parliamentary Constituency Malaysian Volunteer Department with the Titiwangsa Member of Parliament here tonight.
