Reject candidates who move about, insincere with people -- Azlan Man

KANGAR, April 25 (Bernama) -- Opposition candidates who move from constituency to constituency are irresponsible and untrustworthy, said UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Azlan Man.
The Perlis Menteri Besar said opposition candidates who move from seat to seat every general election were like leeches.
"They move around, do not perform their responsibilities or keep their promises. The people should be smart in assessing them and choosing the candidate and party.
"The people must realise that the people's representative does not just have a job but must also have a willingness to serve the people," Azlan told Bernama after presenting allowance payments to 784 chairmen and secretaries of the Village Development and Security Committees in Perlis for April at Dewan Warisan here last night.
He said the incumbent for the Indera Kayangan state seat, Chan Ming Kai from PKR, had been nominated for the Alor Setar parliamentary seat.
"Do they (the opposition) feel rattled and have no confidence that they can easily switch seats without considering the people whom they represented," asked Azlan.
He said this attitude showed the opposition was not sincere in serving the people and left it to the government to solve their problems.
