Sabah PKR to contest in six parliamentary, nine state seats




KOTA KINABALU, April 25 (Bernama) -- Sabah PKR will be contesting six parliamentary and nine state seats in the 14th general election (GE14).

Its chairman Christina Liew said the six parliamentary seats were Beaufort, Ranau, Tuaran, Putatan, Pensiangan and Tawau.

For the state seats, the party would be contesting in Inanam, Tempasuk, Kadamaian, Moyog, Karanaan, Matunggong, Tamparuli, Kuala Penyu and Api-Api.

However, the candidate for Moyog state seat would be announced this Friday, she said when announcing the candidates here today.

Liew added that apart from defending the Api-Api state seat, she would also be contesting the Tawau parliamentary seat.

The party would be fielding four female candidates and two young candidates Chrisnadia Sinam, 35, who would be contesting the Tuaran parliamentary seat and Raymond Ahuar, 33, the Pensiangan parliamentary seat.

The incumbent Inanam state assemblyman Dr Roland Chia had decided not to contest, she added.
