Cool down, be rational, think - Tengku Adnan

KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 (Bernama) -- "Don't fight against the institution, we are a structured party...cool down, be rational and think. There is a reason for those who were not selected to contest in the 14th General Election (GE14)."
The above advice comes from Barisan National (BN) Secretary-General Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor to those who intend to act on their own or even plan to sabotage the party for not being fielded.
He said members should respect whatever decision made by the party leadership.
"When sometimes you get dropped, you need to find out the reason why you have been dropped in the first place.
"If you don't tow the line and follow the party's constitution and ethics, I will take action," he told reporters after handing over the keys of the Federal Territories Housing Scheme (Rumawip) Residensi and Pangsapuri Pandanmas 2 to the buyers here today.
More than a thousand people received keys to their brand new homes.
Tengku Adnan said BN was monitoring every constituency for any element of sabotage against the coalition and candidates contesting in the GE14, adding that culprits would immediately lose their party membership.
The same applied to those who wanted to contest as independent candidates, he said.
On MyPPP president Tan Sri M. Kayveas' exit from the party, Tengku Adnan said there were a lot capable MyPPP members to run the party.
"They got nearly 300,000 members and their voters are more than 200,000 and these voters would like to stay on as a component with Barisan Nasional (BN), that is what I was told.
"We do not want any component party undermining the BN," he said.
Kayveas posted on his Facebook page and Twitter that he had stepped down as party president, its Kuala Lumpur chairman and Perak Exco adviser, effective Monday (April 23).
Later however, MyPPP secretary-general Datuk Mohan Kandasamy said Kayveas was sacked from the party by its supreme council.
