Fire at Bukit Katil UMNO operations room
MELAKA, April 26 (Bernama) -- Bukit Katil UMNO's operations room in Jalan Bukit Katil here was razed early this morning.
Melaka Fire and Rescue operations assistant director Zulkifli Nordin said the department dispatched a fire truck and emergency medical retrieval service (EMRS) team to the scene after receiving a distress call at 2.28 am.
He said the team took about seven minutes to control the blaze. The room located on the lower floor contained clothing, furniture, and an air conditioner.
"The fire only affected 20 per cent of the room and did not involve the building structure," he said in a statement today.
He said there was no report of casualty and the losses were being investigated.
