PRM announces candidates for 16 parliamentary and state seats in Selangor
KAJANG, April 27 (Bernama) -- Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM) today announced its list of candidates for three parliamentary seats and 13 state seats in Selangor for the 14th General Election.
PRM secretary Koh Swe Yong said the parliamentary candidates were Dennis Wan Jinn Woei (Bangi), Selangor PRM secretary Jenice Lee Ying Ha (Pandan) and S. Manikavasagam (Kapar).
"For the state seats, the names listed are Dennis Wan for Kajang, Jenice Lee (Teratai), Manikavasagam (Meru), N.Gandhi (Sementa), Jeichandran Wadivelu (Selat Kelang), Tan Choon Swee (Banting).
"Also listed are M. Telai Amblam (Sentosa), Norizwan Mohamed (Lembah Jaya), Ahmad Kamarudin (Bukit Antarabangsa), Hanafiah Husin (Sungai Kandis), Mohammad Salleh Karman (Bukit Melawati), T.Kumaran (Ijok) and Koh Swe Yong (Taman Templer), " he said during the ceremony to present letters of electoral candidacy to Selangor PRM candidates here today.
Koh said initially PRM was supposed to contest five parliamentary and 15 state seats in Selangor, but some of the candidates withdrew at the last minute due to certain reasons.
At the event, PRM also launched its own manifesto, listing 10 pledges including the return of local government elections in the country, and reducing the country's dependence on foreign workers.
