GE14: GE14 candidate nomination went smoothly - IGP Fuzi
KUALA LUMPUR, April 28 (Bernama) -- The nomination process for the 14th General Election (GE14) today went smoothly nationwide without any untoward incidents or provocations from political party supporters.
Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said all party supporters present to support their candidates at the candidate nomination centres adhered to the orders outlined by the Royal Malaysia Police and the Election Commission.
"So far we see that the security level run smoothly, no tension and this is a positive thing.
"There was no serious issue during the nomination process, police will continue to beef up security until the GE14 is over," he told Bernama here.
