Mat Sabu in three-cornered fight for Kota Raja parliamentary seat

SHAH ALAM, April 28 (Bernama) -- Amanah president Mohamad Sabu, who is contesting for the first time in Selangor on a PKR ticket, will face a three-cornered fight for the Kota Raja parliamentary seat in the 14th general election.

Mohamad, better known as Mat Sabu, faces a challenge from Mohamed Diah Baharun of PAS and V. Gunalan of BN.

Kota Raja Returning Officer Shukri Mohamad Hamin announced the candidates for Kota Raja and the Sentosa, Sungai Kandis and Kota Kemuning state seats this morning at the Kemuning Utama MBSA hall here.

Sentosa state seat, formerly known as Kota Alam Shah seat, is a contest among Datuk Subramaniam T. Retnam of BN, Gunarajah R. Georgem of PKR, Rajan Manikesavan of PAS-DHPP, Telai Amblam Mariappan of PRM and Sundarajoo Periasamy of Independent.

Sungai Kandis (formerly known as Seri Andalas) will see a four-cornered fight among Shuhaimi Shafie of PKR, Hanafiah Husin of PRM, Datuk Kamaruzzaman Johari of BN and Mohd Yusof Abdullah of PAS.

Kota Kemuning (Sri Muda) will see five-cornered fight among Tiew Hock Huat of BN, Burhan Adnan of PAS, V. Ganabatirau of PKR-DAP, Abdul Razak Ismail of PSM and S. Rajasekaran (Independent).
