Ismail Sabri in three-cornered fight in Bera

BERA, April 28 (Bernama) -- UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob is facing a three-cornered fight representing BN for the Bera Parliamentary constituency at the 14th General Election (GE14).
Ismail, who is defending his seat, will be facing Musaniff Ab Rahman from PAS and Zakaria Abdul Hamid (PKR).
He arrived at the nomination centre at the Bera Rakan Muda Complex at 9.05 am with his proposer Mohamad Faizal Mohamad Mokhtar and seconder Fadzil Sahaban.
Prior to that, the Rural and Regional Development Minister led a procession of 500 supporters from the BN operations room which was located 300 metres from the centre.
At 12.40 pm, the returning officer for Bera Datuk Razihan Adzharuddin announced the candidates contesting in the Bera Parliamentary constituency and the Guai, Triang and Kemayan state seats.
In the Guai state seat, the incumbent Datuk Seri Norol Azali Sulaiman (BN) is being challenged by Ahmad Majdil Fauzi Abd Aziz (PKR) and Mohd Shahrul Mohamed (PAS).
The Triang state seat would see a straight fight between the incumbent Leong Yu Man (PKR) and Tan Tin Loon (BN), while Kemayan will see a three-cornered fight among the incumbent Datuk Mohd Fadil Osman (BN), Monalan Mohamad (PKR) and Md Yusof Che Din (PAS).
