Three special projects if BN wins in Gopeng

IPOH, April 29 (Bernama) -- The Barisan Nasional has promised three special projects for the Gopeng parliamentary constituency if it wins the seat in the 14th General Election (GE14) on May 9.

MCA Wanita chief Datuk Heng Seai Kie, who is the BN candidate for the seat, said the special projects were a senior citizens day centre, a special nursery for children of single mothers and a dialysis centre.

The daycare centre and nursery projects would be implemented in each state seat in the parliamentary constituency, namely, Sungai Rapat, Simpang Pulai and Teja while the dialysis centre would be set up to serve the whole Parliamentary constituency, she said.

Meanwhile, in Kampar, the BN candidate Datuk Lee Chee Leoong (also from MCA) said continuing plans to build a new hospital in Kampar was among the main items in the Kampar Barisan Nasional (BN) manifesto for the 14th General Election.

He said the construction of the hospital was for the convenience of the residents in the area including to avoid traffic congestion at the existing hospital.

"I planned to build a new government hospital here when I was Kampar Member of Parliament from 2008 to 2012. The Health Ministry had approved the project in 2012 slated to be built on a 40 ha site in Bandar Baru Kampar," he added.
