Special Manifesto for Seremban residents includes high-speed internet coverage
SEREMBAN, April 29 (Bernama) -- High-speed Internet coverage and increasing household income through a second source are among the 12 items contained in the special manifesto for the Seremban parliamentary constituency launched by Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the parliamentary seat Datuk Chong Sin Woon today.
For high speed Internet coverage, Chong said the matter was very important and often became a grievance for many parties, especially youths who wanted the matter to be resolved.
"It is also in line with the manifesto launched by BN Youth chairman Khairy Jamaluddin, which places emphasis on high-speed internet coverage, which we promise will be enhanced with reduced cost.
"For the entire Seremban parliamentary constituency, I will try to expand the Internet coverage and speed including in economic zones like Seremban and Nilai," he said at the launch of the manifesto here.
Also present were BN candidates for the state seats in Seremban, namley Leaw Kok Chan for Nilai, Datuk Abu Ubaidah Redza (Ampangan), Lim Kok Kian (Lobak) and Siow Koi Voon (Temiang).
Chong, who is also the Deputy Education Minister and MCA Youth chief, said the effort to raise household income through a second source aimed at, among others, reducing the people burdens due to the rising cost of living, as well as ensuring a more comfortable life.
"We will also promote the use of the Digital Free Trade Zone (DTFZ) platform for the sale of local products to the international market besides providing marketing training and rebranding of products and services to small and medium entrepreneurs," he said.
The remaining 10 items contained in the manifesto, themed 'Serembanku Hebat', are to ensure a better quality of life for Seremban youth, generating household income through cultural economics, to provide more professional jobs, modern agriculture and to improve public transport services.
