Compare BN's track record with the opposition's - Annuar

KOTA BHARU, April 29 (Bernama) -- The people of Kelantan must look at Barisan Nasional's (BN) track record and ability to keep its promises compared to the opposition's, said UMNO Information Chief, Tan Sri Annuar Musa.

He said even though the opposition may offer almost the same things as what were promised in the BN manifesto, they may not be able to fulfill their promises.

"Looking at the manifesto launched by the opposition last night, they will definitely end up with a deficit budget as the expenditure is more than the revenue," he said.

Speaking to reporters after the presentation of Poor Students' Trust Fund (KWAPM) donations at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Melor here today, Annuar said this deficit would cause the state's economy to shrink.

Meanwhile, Annuar also said that the government had approved RM1 million for Melor to be developed into a 'rainbow town' to enliven the environment.

"We had received complaints from traders' associations saying that their businesses are not doing well because Melor was very quiet and has no attractions," he said.
