Nik Omar in Pakatan Harapan does not guarantee a win - Wan Azizah

BUKIT MERTAJAM, April 30 (Bernama) -- The entrance of late PAS Spiritual Leader's eldest son, Nik Omar Nik Aziz into Pakatan Harapan is not an absolute ticket for winning.
PKR President Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said that with Nik Omar in Pakatan, it could strengthen the support of the people, but nothing is for sure in politics.
"He has influence but it does not mean that we do not have to work hard," she said in a press conference here today.
Nik Omar made a surprise on nomination day in Kelantan when he turned up to submit his nomination form to contest the Chempaka state seat as a candidate for Amanah, under the PKR flag.
Chempaka was a seat that was held by former Kelantan Menteri Besar late Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat under PAS since the Ninth General Elections (GE9) in 1995.
PAS on the other hand has sacked Nik Omar from the party following his decision to contest under Pakatan Harapan.
Meanwhile, PKR Vice President Nurul Izzah Anwar said that the party has a 'Plan B' if Tian Chua's court process did not go well.
"Of course we have an alternative solution for Batu. We have our strategy in place," she said.
On the nomination day, Tian Chua was announced disqualified from contesting the Batu parliamentary seat in Selangor by the returning officer (RO) on account of his RM2,000 fine imposed by the Shah Alam High Court.
He has filled an originating summons against the RO, Anwar Mohd Zaid and the Election Commission (EC) today at Duta court.
