BN Wanita candidates have records of struggle

KLANG, April 30 (Bernama) --Barisan Nasional (BN) Wanita candidates highlighted in the 14th General Elections (GE14) are individuals who have a record of struggling for the people.

Its chairman, Tan Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, said it had been the party's principle not to choose candidates arbitrarily, instead to choose the ones who were really qualified.

"In BN, our candidates have a record of the struggle for society for a long time before they are chosen.

"The women candidates we offer are not 'touch n go fly by night', they are serious leaders who have served," she told reporters after a Meru State Assembly Constituency 'Ziarah sayang' programme at Taman Meru 4, here today.

In the programme, which was also attended by the BN Kapar parliamentary seat candidate Datuk M. Mohana and the Meru state seat candidate Khairul Anuar Saimon, Shahrizat spent time visiting a resident in the housing estate, Rozita Hamam, 49, who had a stroke since a month ago.
