BN party machinery tasked to secure victory in Kelawat

KOTA BELUD, May 1 (Bernama) -- The Barisan Nasional (BN) machinery in Kelawat has been tasked to ensure that the ballots to be cast by voters in the constituency totalling more than 1,300 on May 9 would go to the coalition.

UMNO treasurer Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak today said the party machinery must go to the grassroots and explain to them about the development that BN had carried out in the area and Kota Belud as a whole, as well as plans that were already in place.

"I am confident that voters in Kelawat will give their undivided support to BN's candidate in Kadamaian, who is Kota Belud UPKO chief Ewon Benedick, and to me as the BN candidate for the Kota Belud parliamentary seat.

"Surely, the people would choose a party that is capable of being a good government both at federal and state level," he said during a visit to Kelawat here. Ewon was also present.

Salleh said BN had implemented a lot of development in Kota Belud but more needed to be done, and the agenda could be realised only if the coalition were given the mandate to lead the government again.
