Good mix of candidates for Perak - Zambry
PARIT BUNTAR, May 2 (Bernama) -- Perak Barisan Nasional has come up with a good mix of candidates for the 14th general election, said its chairman Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.
The Perak Menteri Besar said it was a balanced mix of professionals and grassroots leaders to ensure continued smooth administration of the state if the BN was returned the mandate.
"Such a mix is very important because highly educated people will not necessarily understand the pulse of the people. Grassroots leaders like penghulu, teachers and others are very close to the people and understand the people on the ground very well, hence the need for them to complement each other," he said.
Zambry said this when opening Dataran Aman Jaya in Simpang Lima here Tuesday.
Polling is on May 9.
