Thousands at Pakatan Harapan talk not from Titiwangsa - Johari

KUALA LUMPUR, May 2 (Bernama) -- The presence of thousands of people attending Pakatan Harapan's talk in Desa Pandan, which was also attended by its chairman, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad last night, does not reflect voters in the Titiwangsa parliamentary seat.

According to the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate there, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, most of those people were from other areas around the parliamentary constituency.

"I sent some people to the gathering last night to check if they were really residents here or from outside...but they were from Bukit Bintang, Cheras, Batu, Segambut...because Titiwangsa is in a strategic location, surrounded by opposition areas."

"...and they came just to see Tun M (Dr Mahathir), the PAS supporters were not there. Nevertheless, I do not take this lightly and will continue to go around Titiwangsa to explain the issues raised by the opposition," he told reporters after a meet-the-people session with the Minang community in Keramat, today.
