GE14: Pekan UMNO will ensure all 32,000 members turn out to vote - secretary
PEKAN, May 2 (Bernama) -- Pekan UMNO will ensure all its 32,000 members turn out to vote in the 14th General Election to achieve the Barisan Nassional's 40,000-majority target for the Pekan parliamentary seat, said its secretary Datuk Ahmad Azmey Abu Talib.
"They are our main asset and the logistics are in place to ferry them to the polling centres," he told Bernama.
He also urged outstation voters to also come back to vote.
The incumbent is Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak who is seeking his 10th consecutive term to be the MP of Pekan. His majority in the last election was 35,613 votes.
The constituency has 88,899 registered voters.
