Overwhelming support for BN, Musa in Sabah

SANDAKAN, May 4 (Bernama) -- Sabah Barisan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Musa Aman received overwhelming response from the people during his visits to several areas in the state since nomination day for the 14th general election (GE14).

"They were very happy to see me and pledged to give their support to BN. Why?..because they know that the BN government is good and helps the people regardless of where they stay, on land or island.

"We have a good record in implementing development for the people; because we are a government that fulfills our promise to the people," he said at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Libaran Islamic Centre complex here today.

Musa who is defending his Sungai Sibuga state seat said BN would continue its development plan and complete what it had set out to do for the people.

Meanwhile, he told reporters when met that the action by a number of opposition grassroot leaders in the state recently to quit their respective parties was a reflection of dissatisfaction over the shallowness of the opposition parties' struggle.

He said the opposition grassroot leaders had switched their support to BN because they realised that only BN was sincere in its struggle for the people.

He is confident that BN would secure a major victory in GE14.

At the function, PKR Batu Sapi chief Mustafah Talib led 1,360 members, while Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah Batu Sapi chief Basri Ibrahim led 1,120 members out of their respective parties and met Musa to pledge their support for BN.
