Mahathir Is The Laughing Stock Of PH - Tg Adnan
KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 (Bernama) -- The recent incident at which Perak DAP Chairman Nga Kor Ming poked fun at Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad clearly showed the latter was the laughing stock of the opposition pact.
BN Secretary-General Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said he felt sympathy for Dr Mahathir, who is contesting the Langkawi parliamentary seat in the 14th general election (GE14), because the seasoned politician did not even realise that he was used and had become the laughing stock of PH.
"Everybody knows but him. I pity him for being used and ridiculed by those people (Pakatan Harapan)," he told reporters after officiating the groundbreaking ceremony for the Surau Abbas Al-Habshee project here today.
Also present were BN candidates Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani for Titiwangsa and Heng Sinn Yee for Cheras, as well as Cheras UMNO division chief Datuk Seri Syed Ali Alhabshee.
Tengku Adnan was asked about a video recording which had gone viral on the social media with Bahasa Melayu subtitles which showed Nga, who is DAP candidate for Teluk Intan parliamentary seat, uttering insulting words and poking fun at Dr Mahathir during his recent talk.
In a separate development, Tengku Adnan who is UMNO secretary-general, said the fate of party veteran Tan Sri Dr Rais Yatim had yet to be decide as an investigation by a special committee was still ongoing.
"It is still being investigated. When the committee informs their findings to me, then only will we take action," said Tengku Adnan, the BN candidate for Putrajaya parliamentary seat.
