People in Sabah all For BN - Musa Aman

PUTATAN, May 6 (Bernama) -- Sabah Chief Minister and State Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Tan Sri Musa Aman is confident the people of Sabah are still supporting BN as the party is capable of bringing development and progress to the state.

He said Sabahans were wise enough to know that the party had successfully fulfilled its obligations and pledges to the people.

"People in Sabah are with BN. Their spirit is strong enough to continue supporting the BN because they know it is the BN that brings about development and progress," he said at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Petagas which costs nearly RM50 million here today.

Also present were Putatan parliamentary seat candidate Datuk Dr Marcus Mojigoh and Petagas state seat candidate Datuk Yahya Hussin who is also Sabah Deputy Chief Minister and Tanjong Aru state seat candidate Datuk Edward Yong Oui Fah.

Musa was also furious with the opposition, particularly Parti Warisan Sabah which equated the 1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M) with animal feed.

"This is an insult. What\'s wrong with the BN government using the government's money to give to the people in need? This reflects BN's concern for the people," he said.

Meanwhile, in TENOM, Musa also reminded voters not to be influenced by the slogan ?ubah' (change) played up by the opposition.

He said, there was nothing to be changed when the Barisan Nasional (BN) government has the best working record in implementing development for the people.

Don't pawn Tenom, Melalap or Kemabong for that matter for irresponsible leaders. Change, change, change. Change what? What is there to be changed... change will only bring destruction," he said in his speech at a leader-meets-people event at Melalap town, here, today.

Also present at the event were the BN candidate for Tenom parliamentary seat, Datuk Rubin Balang, candidate for Melalap state seat Datuk Seri Radin Malleh, and Jamawi Jaafar for the Kemabong state seat.

At the event, 348 former Warisan and PKR members led by former PKR candidate in the 13th general election, Masidin Tumas submitted their application forms to join BN to Musa, who is also Sabah UMNO chairman.
