Najib pleasantly surprised to have flown in AirAsia aircraft sporting BN election slogan
KUALA LUMPUR, May 7 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said today he was pleasantly surprised to have been flown in an AirAsia aircraft sporting the livery 'Hebatkan Negaraku' (Make My Country Greater), the theme of the Barisan Nasional (BN) election manifesto.
The Prime Minister described the success of AirAsia as a true example of the achievements that could be garnered when a visionary leadership in business combined with the strong support and economic policies of the government.
Surprised to be collected on a BN-themed @AirAsia flight by @tonyfernandes today! AirAsia's success shows what can be achieved when visionary business and government come together #HebatkanNegaraKu.
As long as BN is in office, we will continue to support pioneering businesses such as AirAsia that benefits the people, brings Malaysians closer together, and flies the Malaysian flag high. #HebatkanNegaraKu, he said via his latest posts on Facebook and Twitter.
Najib, who is also BN chairman, said the airline had become one of Malaysia's most famous brands recognised at home and overseas under AirAsia Group CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes' leadership.
The Prime Minister posed for a photograph with Sabah leaders with the A330-300 aircraft in the background at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport before boarding the plane for the flight to the federal capital. He had arrived at the airport at about 4 pm after concluding his two-day visit to Sabah.
