Lim confident win in Penang, provided Pakatan defend 30 state seats
GEORGE TOWN, May 7 (Bernama) -- DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng is confident of retaining administration in Penang provided that the Pakatan coalition managed to defend all its 30 state seats won in the previous general election.
Lim, the Penang caretaker chief minister said the Pakatan coalition could not afford to lose any of its 30 state seats in the 14th General Election (GE14) in order to form a state government in Penang.
"If we lose any of these 30 state seats in GE14, all the state government's infrastructure projects will be affected then," he told reporters at DAP headquarters here today.
He said the main focus for the Pakatan coalition now is to focus on defending the 30 state seats.
In GE13, DAP managed to win all 19 state seats its contested in Penang while PKR contributed nine state seats while PAS then with Pakatan coalition won one state seat.
