TANJONG KARANG, May 8 (Bernama) -- Selangor Barisan Nasional today announced a three-month salary as a bonus for Selangor civil servants if the BN recaptures the state in the general election tomorrow.
Its chairman, Tan Sri Noh Omar, said the provision for the bonus would be included in the state budget for 2019.
"The announcement of the bonus is relevant considering that (Selangor) Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali made a similar announcement when the state government is having to bear various debts amounting to billions of ringgit.
"So, I advise the people not to be deceived by Mohamed Azmin's statement," he said after a visit to the Sawah Sempadan polling district centre here.
Accompanying him were the BN candidate for the Sungai Burong state seat Datuk Shamsudin Lias and the BN candidate for the Permatang state seat Datuk Sulaiman Abdul Razak.
Mohamed Azmin said in a statement yesterday that the Selangor government would give a three-month salary as bonus if Pakatan Harapan retained Selangor in the general election.
Noh said the BN would retain the Tanjong Karang parliamentary seat that he was defending and the state seats within it.
"As I said before, we (BN) will also win at least 30 state seats and 10 parliamentary seats in Selangor," he said, adding that the BN had received good feedback from the people during the last 11 days of campaigning.
