Over 100 DAP members quit party to support BN

NIBONG TEBAL, May 8 (Bernama) -- Over 100 members of the DAP quit the party and announced their support for the Barisan Nasional (BN) here today.

A member V. Govin said he was upset that the party was willing to use the PKR logo instead of the DAP rocket logo in contesting the 14th general election (GE14).

"We had been supporting the party and had helped with its victory since 2008 until today, but we are very disappointed and have decided to leave the party," he told a news conference here today.

Govin said the party members were also disappointed that the top leadership was working closely with former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who had been critical of the party for more than 22 years.
