Actor Den Wahab cast vote in Bagan Datuk
BAGAN DATUK, May 9 (Bernama) -- Local actor Den Wahab, 55, exercised his right as a voter for the 14th General Election in the Bagan Datuk parliamentary constituency today.
Despite settling in Kuala Lumpur, he chose to cast his ballot in Bagan Datuk as he has been carrying out various business ventures in the constituency since 2000.
"I started my business here in early 2000 but only decided to cast my vote here since the last two general elections (2008 and 2013)," he said after casting his ballot at Madrasah Manbail Ulum in Sungai Nipah here.
Also casting their ballots at the school were Den's wife Norasyikin Bustamam, 45, and daughter Batrisyia Baqis Zaharuddin, 23.
Den Wahab, whose real name is Zaharuddin Abdul Wahab, said each voter needed to be acquainted with their candidates before choosing who should become their representative.
Also voting in the Bagan Datuk parliamentary constituency is veteran singer Datuk Mohd Daud Kilau, 78, who voted at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Nipah Baruh this morning.
