Lesson to be learnt from Johor PH victory - Salahuddin
JOHOR BAHRU, May 10 (Bernama) -- Pakatan Harapan's (PH) victory in Johor where it won 36 state seats is a lesson to be learnt, said Johor PH vice-president Salahuddin Ayub .
He said the party would not disappoint the people who have given them the mandate to lead the nation for the next five years.
"If leaders have been entrusted with responsibilities, they should not be arrogant. Remember that the people who elected them can respond and retaliate," he told reporters at a press conference earlier this morning.
Salahuddin who is also Parti Amanah Negara deputy president said PH also promised to serve the people of Johor to the best of their abilities.
He said Johor PH chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is expected to meet the Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar later this morning to seek his consent on the appointment of Menteri Besar.
Meanwhile when asked on the possible candidates for the Menteri Besar post, Johor PH secretary Datuk Osman Sapian said Muhyiddin would be submitting three names to the Sultan.
Johor, formerly a Barisan Nasional (BN) stronghold, fell to PH after winning 36 state seats. BN won 19 seats while PAS obtained only one seat.
