Musa Aman chairs first meeting of Sabah cabinet




KOTA KINABALU, May 12 (Bernama) -- The Sabah Cabinet led by Tan Sri Musa Aman held its first meeting today at the Sabah State Administrative Centre here.

Musa was sworn in as the 14th chief minister of Sabah on Thursday.

The new Sabah deputy chief ministers, Datuk Dr Jeffery Kitingan, Datuk Masidi Manjun and Datuk Hajiji Mohd Noor, also attended the meeting.

Musa did not hold a press conference after the meeting and did not speak to reporters who approached him as he left the centre at 2.50 pm.

Jeffery only told reporters that the meeting discussed, among others, administrative matters but he did not elaborate on the other matters.

Meanwhile, Afieza Khan, the press secretary to the Sabah Chief Minister, said in a statement that among the matters discussed were the strengthening of the administration by restructuring and streamlining several ministries so as to execute its functions and objectives more effectively.
